Happy July 4TH!!!!

--------------------------------------

We actually got to sleep in this morning,
woo hoo!

Got up and made a late breakfast then headed
outside to work more on the carport/patio area.
Today we took the water barrels and stand
apart.  We decided we didn't want to
spend any more money or time on them
getting them put back together.
The truck is fully loaded with all
the material from the water barrels and stand.
And it still didn't all fit so another
run another day will have to be made.
This past Winter Wow cable came
out and had to rewire something and
moved my water barrels and broke
the pipes on them.  I complained about
what they did along with other things
and they didn't do a damn thing other
than say, "we're sorry that happened."
All gone :0(
Tony had brought home a bunch of
scrap metal from work.
Him and other guys had been saving
it up for him when they did certain
jobs that required pieces to be replaced.
This stuff would have otherwise been thrown out.
So here we are on the patio
cutting up and sorting through different metals.
We take our metal to The Recycling Exchange.
You can check their prices HERE.
We try to figure up ahead of time
how much it's all worth.
About 48 pounds of brass.
@ $1.30 a pound = $62.40.
Copper, about 19 pounds
@ $3.00 a pound = $57.00

Also have 4 pounds of aluminum & copper
radiators from a furnace
@ $1.30 a pound = $5.20

And 14 pounds of aluminum pieces
@ .55 cents a pound? = $7.70

So total for all the above free pieces
of metal collected we should get
around $132.30!
Give or take because I don't
know the weight of the paint buckets
or totes.
That's my guess.
Not too shabby for what doesn't
look like a whole lot of metal.
We'll have to wait til this coming
Saturday to see what we get.

------------------------------------

Found these different Day Lillies
among the others.
Normally they have one layer of petals.

This one has two layers.
And this one I counted four layers of petals.

11:15pm

Went to see fireworks tonight by Whetstone.

After fireworks we stopped in a corner
market convenience store.
As we were sitting in the truck
Jonathan noticed this clothes and shoes
drop off donation box sitting in the
parking lot missing a few letters, LMAO!!
