6-23-11

Cable, phone and internet have
been out from about 6am-11:15am.

Last night we went over to Tony's
work to pick up a bucket of scrap metal
he's been collecting.  When he does
jobs that require to replace plumbing
or what not he saves all those pieces
to take to the scrap recycling center.
We can easily get about $75 to
$150 for one 5 gallon bucket full
of brass, copper and aluminum.

According to Recycling Exchange
the price of brass (which is the
heaviest metal we have) is $1.30 a pound.
Copper ranges from $2.85 to $3.10 a pound.
And aluminum is .50 to .60 cents
a pound depending on  the type it is
from cans to building material.

Of course the kids did a lil DDn
while we were by the shop.
Here's what they found-

Brand new pair of Arizona
skinny jeans with price tag of $36.
LG cell phone with charger.
Small beaded heart pillow.
Brutus bean bag.
 Vanilla scented sticks with bottle.
Also 2 rolls of Christmas wrapping paper
and a pair of shorts.

Also yesterday while working Tony
found some paint.  I'm hoping to
start working on painting the
bathroom walls and tub soon.
Yesterday I also got 2 cans
of free Glidden paint in the mail.
We now have Winter Breeze,
Stingray & Serenity in the cans to
the right and
Slate Green and Quiet Rain
in the cans to the left.
They are all pretty much a white
to a very light blue to a grayish blue green.

11:00am

I got the bathtub scrubbed out
as much as I could.  Now I need to
find some sand paper and sand it some.
Then I want to start painting it
with some white appliance paint.

Well I give up posting for today.
I went to post something and
submit it only to find that more than half
the stuff I posted disappeared.
