12:30pm

Back home from yard sales and
yet another trip to Kroger (people
must think I live there, lol).
This time was at Graceland Kroger.
I had to get some 12 packs of
Big K pop, breakfast and some snacks
for our trip up to Indian Lake tomorrow.
It's soooo much cheaper to keep a cooler
full of drinks and a bag full of snacks
in your vehicle when traveling rather
than stopping
at convenience stores/gas stations.
12 packs of Big K pop went up.
They used to be about $1.99 and
are $2.58 now.

I also found a couple marked down things.

A bag of 12 cinnamon raisin swirled
mini bagels.
Was $2.89 marked down to $1.49.
I still have some cream cheese mixture
from strawberries and I plan to
spread this on the bagels tomorrow
morning and call it breakfast on the go.

A bag of 6 wheat bollilo rolls.
Looks like hoagie buns.
Was $2.99 without card $1.50 with card and
marked down to .79 cents.
Tonight I plan on making
philly beef and swiss subs.
I splurged and got some Steak-Ums.

I also got a pound package of
whole mushrooms. Reg. $2.99
marked down to $1.69.
And a bell green pepper for .67 cents.
All or some to be used for the philly
subs along with some onions
I already have.

I also found some beef stew meat marked down.
pkg #1 was $3.05 marked down to $1.42.
Pkg #2 was $3.28 marked down to $1.52.

Yard Sale Finds

pair of shorts for myself .50 cents
pair of shorts for Christopher .75 cents
pair of swim trunks for Tony .50 cents

I got an OSU checker game for $1.00.
This will be put back for
a Christmas present.
To who? not sure yet.
A set of chef curtains with valance-
found in a freebie box.

And I found Tony a couple of
Father's Day gifts.

Jeff Gordon license plate $1.50.
He's been saying lately that he
wants a new one.

And he's been wanting a
motion sensor security light.
Brand new in box for $6.00.
Energy star rated, wide angle sensor
and reduces false sensors for rain & wind.
These go for $50 at Lowes!!
And a brand new in box Wagner Power Painter
110 watts $4.00.
Talked down from $5.00.
I saw a used 85 watt one on
Craigslist for $50!!
The guy selling it to me said
they go for around $65.
We've been wanting one to
stain our fence around the backyard.
This would make it so much easier
than painting the stain on with a brush.
A solar floating fountain for
either the pool or bird bath $3.00.

 So total spent for Tony's
Father's Day gifts-
$14.50
And everything was brand new!!
A gift from each of us.

6:30pm

Supper-
Homemade Philly beef & swiss subs
with green bell peppers,
mushrooms & onions.
Jonathan saw a picture of
one somewhere and requested I make
this for supper one night.
Well, tonight's that night.
Mom went to Steak Escape the other day
and got two Cheesesteak sandwiches,
pretty much the same thing I made above.
She paid $4.00 a sandwich.
While I splurged to make this treat
for supper I spent around $9.30
for 7 sandwiches!
Which made them $1.32 per sandwich.

Earlier I had wrote about a Zyrtec
deal at CVS.
What's funny is when I went to check
my mailbox this evening this is what I found-

--------------------------------

8:00pm

Had to run to Sandy's Used Tires,
used to be Steve's Used Tires but since the divorce
she got the one used tire store.
Shelled out over $120 for 2 tires
to be put on the rear of the Suburban.
It really needed them and we kept
putting it off.  Used tires seemed
a little high this time around.
They were $45 each and those
were the cheapest set.  Plus
$10 to mount each tire, tire disposal
and tax.  Still a lot cheaper than
buying new and they had good tread on them.

Sometimes you can get a really
good deal on tires if you
browse Craigslist.  We've
gone that route also with luck.
You can take your own tires to Steve's
or Sandy's Used Tires and
they'll put them on for you.
