5-15-11

2:03pm

Yesterday morning I got up at 7:30am.
Me and mom went to a church sale
around 8:30am.
My finds at the sale-

Water fountain- .75 cents
 Weaving loom kit- $1.00
I saw this selling for
between $50 and $75 online.
A bag of flameless candles- .50 cents
 2 necklaces- .50 cents each
2 pairs of earrings- .50 cents each.
I wore the silver pair to the wedding.

A pair of rubber boots for Tony- .50 cents
 And a remote controlled
1967 car for Christopher for Christmas.
No photo as I had to have mom take
it home with her so Christopher
wouldn't see it.

After the sale I headed home.
We went out and took the Suburban
to a car wash as that's what
we were driving to the wedding.

We stopped in a couple Speedways
to get 2 bottles of Mellow Yellow zero
and used up 4 coupons for 4
slices of free pizza.
Total cost for lunch was $1.01!

Then we headed home to get
ready for the wedding.
I was behind with doing things
and got the kids hair cut about
an hour before we left.

We arrived at the Bryn Du Mansion
in Granville
around 2:00pm, an hour early to
help assist the wedding party.
They already had wedding planners,
a photographer, a DJ, and caterers.

Here we are traveling down the
road towards the mansion.
The field area to the left was it's
front yard!!

Appetizers were
veggies with dip, chicken wings,
cheese & french bread.
The main meal was
roast beef, chicken, green beans,
rolls, mashed potatoes & gravy,
green beans and salad.

We were there 6.5 hours.
We left around 8:30pm.
I'm sure it went on for 2-3 hours more!
I drove us home.

My highlight of the evening
was when a guest from another
wedding going on in another building
on the property came over to the mansion
and was taking photos of the outside of
it.  He said he liked taking pictures of old buildings and we started talking
about the history
of the mansion.  I had mentioned
to him
that one week earlier they had
had their first ghost hunt there.
That really got the ball rolling with
our conversation.  I learned that he
was the owner of a website that
I visit quite frequently for the past
5 years or so called
Ohio Exploration Society.
I had just been to their site
about a week ago of all things.
His friend is also the owner
of another site I like called
Forgotten Ohio who also
has a couple books called
Forgotten Ohio and
Weird Ohio which I have
checked out of the library and read!
They like to explore abandoned buildings
and tell the history of them.
They also do paranormal investigations.
I couldn't believe I actually met this
person at Joe's wedding.
This was totally awesome for me!!
I got his card with his email
and he wants me to write him
with a few places I think he should
look into.  He also said he would
send me photos of a recent investigation
they did where they caught an
apparition.
I also asked him if he does private
ghost hunts for those who want
to experience what it is like
who have never been on one.
He said yes!  I told him we would
like to go to one.

Anyway the rest of the photos of the
wedding are of the mansion
and any out buildings on the property.
I had taken lots of photos of this place
due to the fact that it's known to be
haunted :0)

Here is me and Philip,
owner of Ohio Exploration Society talking.

Other photos of the property.
This is where the wedding took place outside.
