12:40pm

Got all my running around I had
planned to do this morning.
Got a gallon of paint from
Sherwin Williams for $14.99
with the commercial discount.

Stopped in Habitat.
I like Habitat and made the comment
it was better than going into any
craft store like JoAnns, lol.
I could easily spend a couple hours
in there looking at stuff thinking
of ways to reuse it.
I didn't get anything in there this trip.
I did see a couple very large
ornate torch lights but they were
$25 each, waaay out of my budget
to get a set like them. So I'll have
to stick with my $2.00 set.

Also stopped in Goodwill to pick
up a cabinet type shelf I saw the
other day when in there.
This time I had a measuring tape
and dimensions of what I needed
to make sure it would work
for another project of mine.

My delima,
what do I do about this cluttered
looking area under my tv?
This to me is an eye sore.
I liked the idea of using the sofa
table as a tv stand but had to put another
shelf stand underneath it to hold the
dvr and dvd players.  They would not
fit on top the sofa table with the tv.

I've had this idea for awhile
but not the actual supplies to make
it possibly work til now.

So how do I make it work
with this shelf stand I bought today?
You get creative, that's how, lol.
The shelves are removable
so that's good.
Now turn it sideways.
Insert the shelves in the middle
for support.
I plan to remove the one long board
and shorten the side boards
and shelves by about half
so it won't sit as tall, then
put the long board back on top.
Now paint it all black, sit it on the
sofa table, sit the tv on it
and lastly sit the dvr and dvd boxes
inside this shelf.
Y'all envisioning this, lol?
Here's my drawing of it.

I told ya I see things in different
ways than what they are normally
used for!

Now my next question-
How do you still hide
the wires to everything that will hang
down underneath running to outlets
or power surge protectors or
the cables?
My solution-
A faux wall.
You get a board (or even a large piece
of cardboard), paint it the color
of the wall and put the board
behind the tv stand.
All wires will sit behind the board
and this board will give the optical
illusion of a clean free wireless
mess underneath.

I did a sample spot of the paint
I got today on the wall,
well actually all the walls.
It shows up as a different color
on each wall due to the different
lighting each wall gets.
Color ain't too bad when compared
to the color we originally had on the
walls.  See the yellow color to the right
in the one photo, ahhh.

Camel Suede is very similar to a SW
Sherwin Williams Blonde paint color.
My Camel was a Valspar color
but matched by SW.

I did the SW Blonde and the
Valspar Camel Suede color
side by side.
(not the suede affect just the color)

8:00pm

I think tonight I'll try out
my freebie foam hair color.
When hubby comes up behind
you and says, "look at all that gray!"
Yup, it's time for another
dose of color, lol.

9:00pm

Would I do the Clairol foam
hair color again, NEVER!
I mixed the contents of the bottles
together, put the foam adapter on top.
The bad. There is no pump on top
of the bottle, you have to squeeze
the bottle from the sides to get
the foam color to come out.
BAD IDEA!  You have slippery
hands when applying the hair
color so when you squeeze the bottle
with a wet hand it tends to slip
or in my case shoot the bottle
across the room and into the
freaking toilet TWICE!!
Once on the floor, getting
coloring on my floor!!And it left
hair color stuff on the toilet, grrr.
The foam still drips.
I had to wipe it off the floor
and sink a couple times.

I have died my hair numerous
times over the years with regular
hair color and this was something
I don't want to experience again!!!!
I don't even know that I would
use the second foam hair
color I got free to do it another
time.  I got this sh*t everywhere,
on my clothes, sink, toilet, floor,
counter, arms, face, ears, neck.
People who have longer hair have
to part their hair in sections
and apply color to distribute it evenly.
How in the world do you hold
your parted hair, squeeze a bottle
and still apply this crap???

I hope mom does not want to
go anywhere tomorrow because
I will have to turn down her
offer because I don't know
how to get this coloring off
my face or arms!!
I tried wipes and alcohol.
It worked some but not nearly
enough to not look like
I have major colored birth
marks all over me.

CLAIROL-
THIS WAS NOT ONE OF YOUR
BETTER IDEAS!!!

IT ROYALLY SUCKED!!!

Next time vaseline along hairline,
ears and neck!
to prevent this crap

I'm now Googling:
How to get hair color off skin!!
I think I'll start going down the list
til something works!  AHHHH!

I've read-
toothpaste,
towel soaked in vinegar,
skin cleansing pads like Stridex
hydr,
exfoliating body scrubs,
baking soda mixed with dish soap,
Nair,
hairspray,
hydrogen peroxide,
hand sanitizer,
nail polish remover

You ever have one of those
ideas in your head that you wish
you could invent all these years
and recently find out someone
has just done it (and locally at that)
and it could have
been you?
yeah, well it's one of
those kick yourself in the butt moments!

I love scented candles and always
thought they should make ones
that smell like you've been working
hard in the kitchen preparing a gourmet
supper of steak and potatoes,
pot roast, or a cookout like
cheeseburgers, brats and things of the sort.
Well I just read the evening news
and saw a 13 year old boy from
Marysville has invented Man Candles.
Pretty neat scents like Gear Head,
Bacon, Pot Roast, Golf Coarse,
Football and so on.

I have some ideas for unique
and different scents for candles.
I'm gonna keep those ideas to myself.

I ran some of my ideas across
Tony and he didn't laugh which
 I was surprised because
these aren't your everyday scents, lol.
No I don't mean making a fart
scented candle either, lol.
This would be really cool to do
and set up a table at the flea market.
Tony is just throwing so many
scent ideas at me right now
I had to get out a notebook
to jot everything down!

Hey if I can make it with coming
up for a scent for Downy I sure
would think I could make up
some pretty unique scents for candles!
