6-5-11

You'd of thought that after
taking a 3 hour nap yesterday I would
have gotten up early today.
Not!  I slept in til 10am and had a very
hard time waking up.  Felt like I could
have slept til noon with no problem.
Anyways, we got up and headed out
to Twin Lakes near Muirfield, Ohio
in Delaware county.
It wasn't far from the golf tournament
as you could see the blimp and
little planes flying nearby.
This was our first time at these lakes.
We like to venture out and try new areas.
The kids caught some small bluegills.
I didn't catch anything
but was able to watch a bunch of
carps swimming near where
I was fishing, which was by the boat dock.
They were in the shallow areas of the
water with their mouths out of the water
skimming it for food.  In some
areas the water was so shallow you could
see their top fins out of the water. It was
pretty neat to watch.  They weren't
interested in any worm or dough ball
that I had, bummer!

We stopped in Kroger on the way
home from fishing to get Tony's
prescription.

with 2 cups of water in a crock pot.
Stir in can of cream of celery.

Add noodles to plate
and spoon meat and gravy over top.

makes 8 servings @ .89 cents a serving

This evening we got out the pool
the kids got for Christmas.
Got it set up and put together.
It'll probably take most of the night/morning
to fill up as it holds 500 gallons of water.
Oh I can't wait to see the next water bill.

It was $100 pool marked down to $25.
The cover was only $2.50 and I don't
remember the price before mark down.

This evening Jonathan saw a baby
rabbit in our side yard.
He hides in the flowers around
the rock at the end of the drive way.
He's no bigger than the palm of my hand,
tiny little thing.

6-4-11

The alarm went off too early
this morning at 6:30am.
We all got up and packed up the food
and headed to Alum Creek by 8:30am.
We just now returned home at 2:00pm.
About an hour into fishing it started pouring
down rain.  I didn't think it was supposed to
rain.  It didn't last long.

A bunch of noisy geese.
This is the reason for the loud geese.
The guy fishing out of this boat
had his dog with him.
The dog would jump off the back
and swim beside the boat.
He swam for the longest time
before getting back on while
his owner was bass fishing in the channel.
You have to look close
at the bottom of the boat to see
the dogs head just above the water.

----------------------------------------

3:00-6:30pm

I laid down and slept for 3.5 hours.
Between the heat and the body still
not up to par I was too pooped to pop.

I told ya I was gonna stop taking
my antibiotic Levaquin last night
because I thought it was
making my stomach muscles hurt
and I was experiencing numbness
in my right hand at times.
My buttocks and hip area muscles
would hurt also.  But ibuprofen
would take the buttock pain away.
You know how you would get a cramp
in your rib area if you ran too much,
well that's how my stomach/rib area
muscles felt from morning til night
since the first day of taking them.
Today I never felt any stomach/rib muscle
pain!!  So I'm pretty sure it
was the medicine doing it!
Don't take that crap for any
upper respiratory infection!
Ask your doctor to give you something
else.  The side affects list is
a mile long!

If you do a Google search
for "Levaquin lawsuits"
you'll get
2,350,000 results in that search.
"Levaquin side affects complaints"
2,750,000.
Does that tell you something
about this medication!!

8:00am

Just what I wanted to do this morning-
pay the bills.  I just cringe.
This month was DOUBLE the
regular amount I usually pay for the month.
But I did completely pay off
my hospital bill (cha ching) along with a
few other hospital/doctor bills
and my monthly payment for
Tony's hospital stay.
His bill is on a payment plan
to have paid off in 3 years.
Only 33 more months to go, ahhh.
When I get the chance I'll
try to send in more than what
they want for the monthly payment
and get it paid off sooner.
I hate bills hanging over our head!!

I am still making extra principal payments
on our mortgage loan to equal
three extra house payments a year.
So instead of the regular 12 house
payments I pay 15 for the year.
Trying to get the house paid off
in 17 years instead of 30 years.
Only 14 more years to go, ahhh.

Plus we have a credit card with
a small balance on it.
Don't pay the minimum amount
as that is only the interest and it
will get you nowhere!

7:25am

Last day of Columbus City Schools.
This morning me, mom and my step-dad
will be going to the school to see
Christopher's 5th grade promotion.
I guess they don't call it graduation at this school.
I'm bringing my camera along so will
be sure to post pictures later on.

---------------------

Tony has decided that our gas powered
weed eater has gotten too heavy to handle
around the yard and prefers our electric one
that is much lighter.
I can't believe he found a buyer for it
already.  Someone at his work wants it.
I think we paid $10 for it in a package
deal 3 years ago and we're selling it for $50.
So there's a profit of $40 :0)

---------------------------

8:45am

Would you believe that on the
last day of school the bus was
20 minutes late!
With all the technology they have
today like gps how can a substitute
bus driver get lost???

------------------------

Christopher's 5th grade graduation
this morning-

the entire 5th grade class

They had a slide show on the big
screen in the gymnasium.
Here's Christopher in his cap and gown
and the next photo shows what
he wants to be when he grows up.
All the kids in 5th grade were
in the slide show.

His awards
Jonathan and Christopher's classrooms

Both kids got to go home after
the ceremony.  I then took everyone
including grandma and grandpa
out to eat for lunch before coming home.

2:15pm

I entered two more cupcakes into the contest.

Rose Bouquet

I made the roses out of candy
fruit slices!

The Mouse Takes the Cheese

-----------------------------------

Boy have I got the perfect cure for
chronic cough from pneumonia,
no need for cough syrup or medicine....

Hemorrhoids!

One cough and you are cured instantly!

LOL!

I am so falling apart!!
My ribs hurt like heck also from coughing
so much.  My cough is better but
after 2 weeks of constant gagging
and coughing fits I'm sure it has affected
my rib muscles, maybe even my bottom.

Tomorrow me, both boys, and grandma
are going to a church sale and others
sales if we find them.
I am so looking for one of those
boppy like pillows you prop a baby
up with to use for my bottom!!
We're supposed to go fishing this
weekend and don't know how well
I can stand sitting for hours on end.
I'm sure I'll figure it out if I
have to bring me a regular pillow along.
I ain't missing the first fishing day of
the year for us.  Gonna go catch that
big one!

-----------------------------------

10:50pm

Here are my newest symptoms
that has started the last couple of days.
I didn't think nothing about it at
first but are now getting a little concerned.

First off I want to say that I am able
to breath out my nose with my mouth closed.
I still have to blow my nose at times
but my nasal airways are not blocked.

While at the thrift store the other day
I ran across scented candles.  I started
smelling a few and noticed they didn't
have any smell to them.  I didn't think
anything of it because I have ran across
crappy scented candles before.

Then there was the trip to Taco Bell
when I got sick.  I noticed that the food
I ordered didn't taste like the last time
I had it.

I lit scented candles yesterday
and didn't smell them.  Tony
came in from work and says,
it sure smells good in here.

Earlier tonight Tony put on some cologne
that I don't care for because it smells
too strong and I think it smells like
hair spray.  I never even noticed he
put it on.  He made the comment,
do you like the hairspray cologne
I put on.  Didn't smell a thing.

Mom had given me some fruity
Mentos gum which I have been chewing
on and off for about a week or so.
Today I went to chew a piece and
it had no fruity taste and kind of
had another awful taste to it which was weird.

Tony got out some microwave popcorn tonight.
We splurged and got a bacon flavored kind.
He brought me the package and
said smell the bacon scent.
I didn't smell a thing!
You know when someone makes
popcorn in a microwave the scent
wafts through the room and smells good.
I smelled nothing.
He then shares this bag of popcorn with me.
I smelled nothing.
I tasted no bacon flavor, no butter
no nothing but the salt, I did taste that.

It was then that it dawned on
me I couldn't smell anything.
I picked up an unlit glade candle I
had sitting on the table.  I put my nose
in the jar and didn't smell anything.
I then put it up to Tony's nose
and asked if it had a strong scent.
He backed away saying it had
a very strong scent.

Should I be concerned that some
of my senses have gone haywire
or should I just blame it on the
pneumonia and upper respiratory infection
and just ride it out to see if it
clears up over time.

I can usually smell anything.
Tony calls me a hound dog
because I can pick up on even the tiniest exhaust
leaks on cars, gas leaks, and
smells that others can't smell.
My sniffer is on strike and
I ain't picking it!
I'm worried and hope it
my smell and taste comes back.

7:20am

This morning me and mom is heading
back over to Wow.  I never got
a phone call back from them
and just yesterday I got a past
due notice from them again but this time it says to pay my bill of $257
immediately or they were shutting off my service.
HA HA jokes on them as I have not had
their service in 2 months and now have Insight.
(they bill one month in advance)
Heck I haven't had any of their equiptment
to run their services for 2 months.
Why can't they correct this situation
before it goes into collections
and It's not my fault because
that's pretty much what they are threatening
me with at the moment.
I called them THREE times in one
day to shut off my service back in April,
I went to their office last week and I called
another person in charge who was
going to look into it but obviously didn't
last week.
I want something fixed TODAY!

After that I wanted to take mom
over to the newest VA thrift store
on Henderson Rd.  She hasn't
been to this store yet.

-------------------------------------

11:50am

I went to Wow.
The guy finally got hold of me
and said everything was taken care of.
Meaning my bill of $257 was wiped clean.
We'll see if I get any more.
He said there was no indication that
I cancelled the service in their system.
No indication my ass, the lady
at the front desk said it was in their computers
that I did indeed call on the day I said
I did, to cancel.
Hello, why would I still want to
pay for their services if I turned
all their equiptment back in
a couple days later after canceling.
Do they not have records of that either?
DO NOT GET WOW!!!
Save yourself a headache!!!

Me and mom went to two thrift stores
this morning.

everyone know and get prepared!

8:55pm

Tonight there is a new show on SyFy
called Haunted Collector.
Getting ready to head to bed
and watch it to see what it's about.
Ghosts just don't haunt houses,
they have attachments to items
as well.
